The new VTV is now live, and with it, a new system of technical inspection that will change the way vehicle inspections are carried out. According to Resolution 32/2026, published in the Official Gazette, the registration for private workshops that can provide the service for both private vehicles and heavy transport has been opened. Workshops will have 30 days from their registration to be able to start performing technical verifications. In a period of up to 90 days, a national digital registry will be created to record each verification carried out. Until that registry is enabled, the physical documentation of each verification carried out must be archived in each workshop. The registry will be open, public, free, and digital, and will operate through the Distance Transactions Platform (TAD) of the Electronic Document Management System (GDE).
