Talleres has reached an agreement with Corinthians on a payment plan for a $7 million debt that the Brazilian club owes to the Argentine team. This agreement was approved by the advisory council of Corinthians and will allow president Osmar Stabile to negotiate with the investment firm Outfield. The new plan stipulates that Outfield will assume the debt, allowing Corinthians to restructure its obligation to $8.5 million, to be paid in 26 monthly installments with an annual interest of 1%. The debt originates from the signing of midfielder Rodrigo Garro in January 2024, who has made a significant impact at the Brazilian club. Talleres' president, Andrés Fassi, has expressed confidence that Corinthians is trying to meet its obligations. This agreement is crucial to avoid sanctions that could affect future player registrations. The deadline to formalize the agreement has been extended to June 16, providing a breather for both parties amid the financial pressure facing Corinthians.
